Our History

In November of 1992, I (Mike Worachek) bought Card & Coin from Ted Pamperin, who had founded the business in 1989. The store originated in the corner of a local paint store called Pamperin Paints. Finally Ted's wife said, "Ted, you have to go, we don't have room here for you anymore!" So he built a new location at 1920 Marlee Lane, next to the Stadium Shell in 1989.

Mid-year in 1992, my dad called and said, "The Card and Coin shop in Green Bay is for sale. What do you think about buying it?" I told him I would like to check it out. (I was a store manager for Pizza Hut at this time in Stoughton, WI.) I called my younger brother David, and we got together to crunch the numbers. I called my dad to see what he thought about our plan, and he approved. I decided to buy the store, and asked my dad to contact Ted to tell him I was interested in purchasing the shop.

The rest is history! Twenty-six years later, I was still in business at the same location on Marlee Lane. In July of 2019, I moved to my current location at 2208 S. Ridge Road, Unit 102, Green Bay, WI 54304. We look forward to seeing you!
